Ferica began as a concept over a year ago. Jennifer(that's ME) and Jessica have been as close as sisters for the last 20 years. Jennifer wanted a handmade bag, she did not have money for fabric or material. She found a old bag that was pretty tattered to use as a pattern, some old cargo pants of her sons, and embroidery floss. She presented the idea to Jessica, and together they both set out to make the bag. Jessica did all of the construction on this first bag, Jennifer was the thinker and inspiration. After they were done, and saw the AWESOME results, they decided that they had something...something that could become a major endeavor and possibly provide both stay at home mama's with some extra income. Thus Ferica Designs was born. Handmade bags, made from old pants, clever liners, pockets inside or out, custom made, 3 different sizes, HAND EMBROIDERED images on every bag, and tons of love and sweat put into every inch of the custom made products. Jessica is the constrution lady of the bags(works the magic with the sewing machine) and Jennifer is the thinker and does the embroidery and liner selections(the easy stuff:)) We are in hopes of building a website and getting into some shops locally.
